My story

Hello, I’m Conor Clarke – Founder of Coach Conor Personal Training and Online Coaching. I am a Level 3 Personal Trainer and a fitness enthusiast.

 

My fitness journey started at a young age when I fell out of love with football due to losing my father. I lost my father at 11 years old and slowly began to switch off from all the things that I used to enjoy with him. This led to me gaining excessive amounts of weight and from 11-15 I was heavier in stones than I was old in age.

 

At 15, I began to find value in being the best version of myself again and this is when I found the gym. I started to train again but it was mostly cardio based as I had no clue what I was doing with weights. I managed to lose weight and at 16 was finally confident enough to go back into football again.

 

At 19, I got my first job in the city for a bank and like many people I could not find the time and energy to train alongside my new job. By 21, I was back in the same situation – out of shape and not looking after my health.

 

At 21, I made the decision that this couldn’t go on for much longer and committed to becoming the best version of myself through health and fitness. I fell in love with the process of becoming fit and strong. I loved it so much that while working my corporate job I decided to gain my PT qualification by studying on weekends.

 

So fast forward, I have my qualification and I am in the best shape I have ever been in both physically and mentally and I believe this is where I can come into help YOU!

 

You are a busy professional that may feel like becoming the best version of yourself is limited by the everyday challenges of balancing fitness and the working life. I am here to show you that it is possible to do both and more importantly maintain both for as long as you want.

I have lived a life that has never been fully devoted to what shape I am in due to other commitments but I have managed to achieve something I am extremely proud of and with my help I am super confident you can too!

Fitness and nutrition does not have to consume every minute and to be honest it’s a lot more simple than people think and often the lack of results that I see from people before they work with me is due to everything being overcomplicated.

 

I aim to teach my clients and not just train them and this means I won’t just give you a workout plan and tell you to get on with it like I see way too often in the fitness industry. I will be on hand to support you all the way through your programme with any speed bumps we may face.
